Hi all. New to this forum. I have a Qysea fifish V-EVO that I have been working with to add a couple of improvements. Among these things, I was trying to assess if it is possible to "charge" or to provide power to the ROV while working underwater. As I looked at the power supply and the ROV tether connector pins, I realized that it may be possible to feed power to the ROV using pins 1, 2, and 5 as illustrated in the attached pic, while able to control the ROV as normal (basically re-routing cables for pins 1 and 2 for -12V and pin

5 for +12V battery while keeping cables for pin 3 and 6 for control.

Having the ROV powered from surface will mean eventually that you are not limited to "battery time" when using the unit.

Does anyone explore this possibility?
Any thoughts?

Thanks for any comment
